Good Afternoon,

I'm struggling with the Jewell trigger in my AR15.  I have run this trigger since around 2001 with no problems, but after I suppressed the rifle I have had nothing but problems.
The rifle would function normally for the first 10-15 rounds after cleaning then I would be unable to actuate the trigger.  The hammer would lock back but it was as if the disconnector was preventing the trigger from functioning. After installing a set of KNS anti-rotation pins and increasing the first stage pull weight this problem appears to be fixed, but I am left with a fairly heavy trigger and the rifle will now function for 20-30 rounds after cleaning and then will start doubling.  At this point I'm at a loss for a fix.  The rifle passes a function test fine, but will still double regardless of ammo or magazine.  This is not every shot, it happens about 75% of the time.

Any ideas on how to fix this trigger or has anyone had experience with the Jewell in a suppressed rife?  Is there another trigger that would be a better choice for this application?

Thanks for any help.

I'd fix it by throwing it in the trash and buying a Geissele.

If you want to keep the Jewell, send it back to them to be inspected/reset. Or, have a reputable gunsmith adjust it for you.
