took my PSA build to the range over the weekend and had a few issues.  ammo was new and good.

right off the bat i had a few misfires.  the primer was dented, but not enough to engage the round.

also, the trigger pin walked itself out after a couple of mags.  I had to open the lower and push the pin back through.

are these two things related?  Should I have put loctite on a trigger pin?  surely not.  forgive my noobie questions, just want to get my rifle to run better.

I would bet your hammer spring is on backwards. It will cause light strikes and the pin walk that you are having.

Pull your hammer and make sure the spring is on the correct way.

I bet you installed the hammer spring incorrectly

Your hammer spring is not correctly installed.

When correctly installed - the trigger pin cannot walk.  This is also the cause of light strikes.

Did you install the hammer spring correctly? Usually the tension from that keeps the pin in place, thats the only thing the comes to mind.

after you reinstall the spring, make sure you do a function check.

An incorrectly installed hammer spring will still function check just fine.  And will shoot about half the time.

Once you swap the hammer spring around, take a few minutes to get used to the tension when you release the trigger. You can then feel the difference during future function checks if the spring is backwards. Guess how I know...

I'm guessing here, but I'd say it's an incorrectly installed hammer spring.

Yes, they are related.
