1990ish Colt AR15 Hbar A2 sporter 20" with no modifications looks well maintained and clean.
Less than 1000 rounds due to it being a safe queen with an owner who was unable to shoot it for at least the last decade.  After he passed, his son offered it to me for $1500.
Doesn't seem like a horrible price, but is that what I can expect from a nice used pre-ban?

I'd offer 1200 firm not a penny more!  It's old school unless you realy have to have it! And used!  If it  was NIB maybe.

well, these are Crazy times so I guess that's about right. I'm no dealer and if someone was to say that's the going price I wouldn't argue! But I wouldn't  pay that, plan and simple.
Other than its a pre-ban my thought is nothing special  about it. I feel the same way about Ammo, let everyone pay the ridiculous prices. A year or two from now when the price
go back to normal I get more. Glad I have what I need and don't half to play stupid and pay the going price.

Definitely old school....I have one and will keep it because it is a good rifle. If this is your first AR buy start searching for something else. $1200.00 is would be a fair price considering it is a private purchase.

I'll see if he will accept $1200.  He's the kind of guy that if he wanted it back someday, I'd sell it back at the same price.  I don't realistically NEED another AR (at least from my wife's perspective), but then it's not all about need.  I've been eying an A2 rifle for a while due to pure cool factor.
Thanks for the advice.
