I didn't even see that. I was more curious why there's what looks like band aids between the SF4Ps and RIS IIs

Its probably a good thing I don't have that job. I feel like there's a 99 percent chance I would be sticking "went tits up" post it notes to everything that wears out or breaks.

(No picture warning) Seems like this spins the most active thread to ask the question in...

Working on a clone-ish rifle that could either go Block 1-1.5 or MWS. As it currently sits...

Colt Socom M4A1 marked carbine circa 2012 (KAC rail, panels, etc., matech rear BUIS)
Blue Force Gear VCAS sling
KAC VFG
.gov overrun B5 SOPMOD (no QD sockets)

I'm trying to decide which way to go with an optic and light. I'm pretty set on a Surefire Scout light but could be swayed by more accurate options if they aren't outdated/under performers compared to current tech.

Also need to decide on an optic. I'm between an Aimpoint CompM4/M4s or an ACOG but again could be swayed. I know many say the PRO is nearly identical to the Comp M2. I have never used an Aimpoint but have 3x Vortex red dots and have one on there as a placeholder right now.

All parts need to be rock-solid reliable, this rifle will get used hard for general purposes. Long range isn't a consideration as I have a "DMR" type for longer range work.

In short, I want to finish this one out with a light and optic that is "duty grade" and close to clone correct without sacrificing technology or features.

Help me spend my money.

Forgive a noob question but what is SAC?  I've done a search with various keywords and haven't found anything that looked promising.

I'm sure we can imagine the millions of ways they could.

As a PVT, I figured out the A2 birdcage would fit perfectly in the hole in the end bar on a cot. When you couldn't stretch the nylon by hand, you could stick the muzzle in there and use it as a cheater pipe.

No, the 18B wanted the potential accuracy advantage of the SOCOM.  He had a Govt profile on it before and was hitting targets at 600m.  I still have some Crane 10.3"/14.5" Govt profiles if they want the lighter weight.  I give them the option if I have both in stock.
