Thanks!  I actually ran this one with a waffle stock for a little while, but traded for the B5.

Thanks!  I definitely prefer this padded sling to the non-padded Vickers sling on my M16A4 clone.  This one is way more comfortable.
Thanks.

Do it. It's like angels are holding your weapon for you.

Got the rattlecan in recently. Working on getting an Aimpoint for this thing, and then adding the ole Surefire. Aero lower, BCM pinned upper, P&S rail. Not hardcore clone but gets the job done.

What kind of accuracy is everyone getting out of Colt socom barrel + non-FF RAS using various types of military ball and match ammo?

My M4A1 clone is wearing a BCM Socom barrel 14.5 inch pinned with a KAC rail and resting on a sandbag, I've shot half inch 5 shot groups with PMC X-Tac and Wolf Gold. Sample set of one, but I really dig it and am always surprised how great it shoots. One of my favorite builds.

5 shot half inch groups? What range? At 100m that'd be spectacular for a non-FF chrome lined gun. Especially with non-match ammo. I'd like pictures if you have any.

2-3" with a red dot on my tax-deduction rig (M4 RAS, SOCOM barrel, vortex rds and matech BUIS) with a QMS and JP yellow springs.  My block II FSP with SOF trade-in 553 and B-GRF trigger gets about 1.5" or so.  Both of those are with handloaded 55-grain FMJ BT.

My bad man, those are 50 meter groups, and they averaged .5- 1inch at 50 meters, but not always. so honestly it's a 2-3 MOA gun. I'm not saying that touching bullet hole groups didn't sound crazy, I just always contemplated selling some guns, then went to the range and shot it, and decide to keep it because it shoots so well. My bushmaster ACR did the same thing with 55 grain and its 1/9 inch barrel but offloaded that.

Pretty consistent, but I doubt it would do 1 MOA all day or anything like that. Next time I can get to a range I'll group it again with a few different  types of ammo and see what I can do at 50 and 100 meters. Groups were shot with an eotech and magnifier and an ACOG.

Not a clone part...
but a Larue 5/8in riser is a good option as well.

Just a hair shorter than the Arms with full pic rails.
Plenty of room to add a magnifier as well.

lots of guys used arms risers

and some even cut their larue risers down to shorter lengths as well

Very nice.  The 14.5" barrel that's not pinned and welded or with a longer FS to meet requirements of our federal law makes it more authentic than a lot of clone guns here so you're already doing well.

just a heads-up, it won't co-witness with a fixed-height rear sight assembly. not with an eotech

any elevation of the 511 above 3/8" inch and the top of the front sight post is no longer visible

Roger that. If I do end up with one that high ill still be happy. As long as it has QD levers, (such as the ARMS LaRue etc) I would just remove it, toss it to the side then use BUIS lol

Meh, just plan on replacing the YHM riser for a more clone-correct LT101 and occassionally throwing on a totally-not-clone-correct magnifier behind it for when I go shooting anything past 300yds.

I kind of want to recce in either a MSG Horrigan style with a 3-9x Leupold or just a LPVO on an LT135 (don't have a S&B budget, but something that will at least look passable at a glance, lol)

There is a part of me that wants to put in for an NT4, but I'd rather get a SOCOM for my Block II and 416 builds first. IF I did that, I'd either use the NT4 compatible MAMS or a Griffin with a spacer because I've been spoiled by the WARCOMP on my 416.

Base for my build to match my M16A4 clone (funny I build one using an Aero Special Edition lower and then they release a complete rifle ). Figured someone was going to ask about it, same as I did when it was turned in  I didn't get a answer but assuming it was taking off the 10.3" and put there so it wouldn't get lost.  The 14.5" for the owner doesn't get used much.
