Go with 1/7 or 1/8.  You probably won't see a difference in accuracy between the two.

whats the difference between the three? why would a 1/9 throw off accuracy? trying to figure out what would be best and if i decided to go to a better round will it be un-accurate then?  im such a newbie

Twist does not effect accuracy. Twist effect stability of different bullet weights.

Get any one you prefer unless you will be shooting minus 55 grain or plus 70 grain bullets.

Personally I think 1:8 twist give you the best of all worlds option wise

BTW none of us own any EVIL guns.....but nice try at humor but that shit doesn't fly in  light of what's going on.

As for your post, you need to determine what bullet weight you will primarily use. If you are going to shoot 55's consistently buy a 1/9

I prefer 1:8 for most builds.  Will stabilize the 75 and 77gr bullets I like to shoot.

an unstabilized bullet can cause keyholing.

OP seeing as how your handle has hunter in it, if I were you(assuming you are a hunter) I would and did buy a 1/7, I also have 1 1/8 but I have no 1/9's.  The 1/7 will stabilize the heaviest hunting rounds you might use in a 5.56.  If you are planning on using lighter grain bullets then get a 1/9.  The bullet weight is actually somewhat irrelevant it is the length of surface area of the bullet that actually touches.  But as a rule of thumb the heavier the bullet is the longer it is.  All in all you probably aren't going to screw up with any of them.  But you can maximize your potential utilizing twist rates.

Just another note, my 1/7 stainless drives tacks with 55gr

By the way some people will get you are breaking the ice on your 7th post with the evil gun comment and some people will look for a reason to be angry i guess.  I wouldn't take it personal.

Well if you want to shoot LR I would get a 1/7 twist so you can shoot longer SMK bullets !

  1/7twist = 45gr to 100gr
