Hey guys. Newcomer to arfcom here. I'm just finishing up my first AR build and my first AR period. The upper is a PSA 16" M4 upper that came with a Midwest Imdustries SS12G2 free float hand guard installed. I bought a MI G2 T10 quad rail to put on it. Now that I have the hand guard off I'm noticing the gas block has a lot of play. It wobbles left and right and even shifts forward and back slightly. Is this normal?

No, it should be tight with no movement whatsoever. It probably has two set screws in the bottom - check and see if they're both present and screwed down tight.

If it has the set screws you can dimple the barrel where they "set". Just barely drill and add loctite to the screws. Problem solved.
