| I'm looking at getting an extended/tactical/over-sized (whatever you want to call it) charging handle latch but I can't figure out which one I want. I'd like to see pics of what everyone has, info and links, and what everyone thinks about theirs (pros & cons). Thanks. |

Bravo Company medium Mod 4. Design is the best and price is reasonable. Putting a extened catch on a factory handle is a weak design.

I actually read that earlier today, before I posted. Just wasn't sure if it was BS to try to sell their product or not. |

Also, BCM large latch CH is pretty good. It's the gold standard around here. The BCM is great...I prefer the medium though. The large would dig into me a little during certain positions with the weapon slung. The medium is my favorite as well Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

BCM if you want a single-sided latch, Rainier Raptor if you want an ambi. I have both, and in all honesty, I prefer the BCM Mod A44 Ambi over the Raptor. Not a damn thing wrong with the Raptor, just personal peferance. Anyone else use it? |

Just another thing to snag Like the extra 30"'s of rail and fake PEQ-15 that don't get in the way. The giant optic mounted would worry me more than an extra half inch of CH It's the only addition to my rifle and the only thing that snags on things. It also is a little extra uncomfortable when slung. |

What kind of extended charging handle latch are you using and how are you slinging your weapon? ~Augee Bcm med latch charging handle, and a dpms 2 point sling. Mostly annoying when slung across the back. It help when charging the rifle though because I only use my thumb and pointer finger so I have left it on. In all fairness i never had the rifle slung with the old charging handle installed so I don't know how much more/less uncomfortable that would be. I'm not bashing the extended Ch's, I love my bcm, I'm just mentioning the two con's I have noticed with mine. Add on an extra latch, (ambi) and you compound the issue. I'm no warfighter, never had to use my rifle in stressful situations, but from my experience at the range and in the woods, if it can snaggle, it usually does. Only once though did the charging handle unclip itself from the detent, this was during some run and gun, but I did not notice until I was walking back to the bench |
