Hello all, im Alex and im trying to build my first AR15. Now I know what everyone is thinking, this is one of the worst times in history to build an AR but this is how my cards were dealt. First I would like to say I have done my homework on building and being safe (still have alot to learn). However I am wondering if someone can direct me on were I can go to buy full kits, I already have a lower reciever on order from a local dealer but he is unable to get much else due to the high demand. Now I understand ill be waiting for MONTHS before i get the parts but the way I see it is the longer I take to order the longer it will take to get my parts. So anyways where can I go to buy a full kit or something close that even though the products are out of stock, the company will still allow me to order and then ship when it becomes availble?? Thanks guys!
oh i should mention i want to build a 5.56.. cause thats what i have ammo for lol

On a side note I actually just ordered from model1sales and after did a search for reviews and it led me to this forum, ive already contacted my credit card company and gave them a heads up, but everytime i call model1sales the line is busy so i know i have a rough rode ahead of me becuase of that but im not giving up, and I still want to purchase ar-15 parts.

I have been scouring the internet for AR parts to complete my AR pistol build. All I need right now is a barrel and pistol buffer tube, and I have had 0 luck finding anything. The few things I have found are so ridiculously overpriced its insane. Finding one single place to supply you all of the parts you need will be next to impossible. Your best bet would be to post in forums and see what parts people may be willing to sell you, and bidding for them on gun broker or something. Forums may also be able to give you a heads up if someone finds parts in stock. You will have to acquire parts over time from various places before you will be able to piece together a rifle.

I suggest checking these sites every day

http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php

http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/

http://www.aimsurplus.com/

Brownels also/

Right now the hardest thing to find is a bolt carrier group. PSA has had decent complete uppers several times since Newtown....and build kits also

Good luck, I got caught in the middle of a build myself but have 3 AR's already so I'm waiting things out....want a BCM upper/BCG and can wait to they get what I want in

Cancel your order with model1sales. I have had a barrel on order for months, it showed in stock when I purchased and still does,  but they will not reply to calls or emaills.
There are tons of credit card fraud stories involving them as well. You would be better off buying from a dealt who will ship items. I think they stopped online. Orders but they are still going to gun shows

Check the Equipment Exchange frequently.  Occasionally some good stuff comes up.

This isnt true.

Once people stop panicking and back-ordering every site into the ground, supply will catch up.
