| I've noticed some BCM uppers have a white military star before the letters BCM and some just have the letters BCM? Is there any difference between these uppers, was one a special run? |
|
The first batches had no markings. Then they had the BCM on the ejection port side at the rear. Then they had the BCM on both sides at the rear. Then they have the star. Coming soon, they'll have the BCM at the front, forward of the ejection port. Uppers built with a BFH barrel have a BFH logo on the side opposite the ejection port, at the front. Components are the same, but it does help BCM date the thing if it comes back in for warranty work. Which is why they started marking them, or one of the reasons they started marking them, in the first place. |

| Sorry to bump an older thread, but i just received a brand new mid length upper directly from BCM a couple of weeks ago without the star in the logo marking. Am i to assume this is an "older" version? I find it hard to believe this is the case considering their uppers sell out within minutes of being available.... |

I got a BCM upper a couple months ago, and it had no markings on it. Thats because someone sold y It could be someone's home build with a blemished bcm upper as they have no logo. I won't buy anything without logos on the appropriate parts. Lots of people get snobby about logos but I'll know that what I'm getting is what I want. |
