I have a buddy with a brand new Bushmaster and he wants a camo AR (I have a Remington R15 VTR) and I want a more tactical rifle. So i proposed a trade. I know my gun is the same as bushmaster but is this a good trade other than preferences?

It would depend on the model Bushmaster to me. A plain jane M4 or does it have a railed HG? The R15 has a 20 inch barrel/ I think you have a better rifle. But if you like his better or it suits your needs better go for it.
