Does anyone still make a fixed gas block mounted front sight? I am looking for something like this, which appears to be out of production from YHM:

Lots of companies do.  I just ordered one from PRI. (Precision Reflex Inc)

Thanks. Which one did you order? This is for mount on a gas block, rather than rail. For some reason my search ability sucks today.

Edit: Also, have seen Truglo and Leapers, but hoping to avoid those

Midwest Industries

I believe the gas block mounted site is .27" taller but I could be wrong

ETA: I just seen you wanted FIXED, I know I've seen them but can't recall brands

They sights are one on the same.  They will attach to a rail regardless of whether they are attached to a top rail or to a gas block rail.  The only consideration is in picking a sight that will withstand the heat from the block.  For example, a magpul MBUS sight is not recommended.  I ordered This it is made from T6 6061 and will be just fine.

They will attach regardless but if the gas block rail is on a lower plane then the top of the receiver then you will have a problem

That's true. Sorry, I forgot about that.  The sight I linked is for a rail level with the receiver.  They do make gas blocks  at this level.  I know I have seen other sights for lower railed blocks, but I don't remember off the top of my head.

I recently got one made by Troy.  I think I ordered from Brownells.  Looks very much like the one in the picture on the original post.  Works great with my removable carry handle when mounted on a Sig M400.

I had one from Leapers and it never gave me any problems. I put some blue locktite on it and it never loosened on me. That said, I wouldn't mind one from YHM to go on my AR to match the folding YHM rear sight.

You WRONG Sir!  They may look the same but they are a differenct height.  Try what your recommending and come back and tell me how it went zeroing your rifle.

I believe I already corrected myself, but thanks for playing.  It depends on the height of your gas block rail.  I have one that is the same level, exactly thesame level as my receiver.  Others may be shorter, but like a said, I already corrected myself.  Thanks for the exclamation marks though...
