| any tricks to getting these off? i was able to push the rear pin out no probem no it is the front one on the Front sight post? |
| There is a set screw under the sling swivel that has to be removed. The only way to get to it is to knock the rivet out and remove the sling swivel. Don't try hammering the FSB off of the barrel without removing that screw. This is all assuming you are talking about the standard A-frame FSB. |

I was looking at the sling swivel, and had my WTF face on, after reading the prior post. |

I have never seen a tapered pin & setscrew combination before. |
| I had a hell of a time getting the pins out of my new BCM upper. I should have just bought one of those FSB pin blocks. They all seemed overpriced at the time, but I would have saved myself a lot of cussing and scaring the dog. You need to either get someone to hold the upper down for you or clamp that sucker down. Any movement is going to make it 100x harder to get the pin to move. I used an over-sized punch to knock the pin flush. It gave me a bigger target to really get some good swings in with the hammer. once it's flush, a smaller punch easily finishes the job. |

I use to hate that part until I wised up and bought the correct tools.
