I wanna' keep a spare bolt, and have one on the way from ArmaLite.  Right now, the rifle has about 2,500 rounds thru it.  My thinking is that I should swap out the new for the old, and run the new one for the next 2,500 or so rounds, and keep switching like that, so both bolts remain compatible with the rifle.
Am I about right with the number of rounds per rotation?

Run your current bolt until it fails, then replace. You will cause uneven wear by switching between them.

The total allowable headspace range is .010”, many weapons start out somewhere in the middle.
Every time you change the bolt you have some amount of break in wear.

Don't replace it until the first one breaks. You most likely have along was to go.

use one bolt until it breaks.  thats like using your spare tire until its worn down then sticking it in your trunk until you get a flat.
