I am new to the AR , and was wondering how long do buffers last , should I buy a spare due to the AWB ban that will unfortunately happen, I already bought a bolt rebuild kit , my gun is brand new ,its a stag arms model.I am just afraid I am sure as well as many others that when this BS goes down they may make it so you can`t by repair or mod parts.

Not something to worry about.  Highly unlikely you'll ever wear a buffer out.

Buffer spring maybe after 10k+.

Doesn't hurt to have a spare spring kit or so.  Gas rings also as those are the highest wear part.  All those are relatively cheap.

I have a gold colored CMT H2 buffer that has better then 14,000 round on it and the only thing it has is a silver ring on the face of the buffer from the carrier hitting it.

That's a bit harsh.  Don't let the current situation get under your skin like that.

By purchasing an AR the OP now also has skin in the game.  Hopefully he'll understand that and defend his interests and that of the general community when the time is right.

Till then, please don't be prejudging people due to inexperience.

Ok let's go over some things.

A.  No other country to my knowledge even with the strictest of gun laws prohibits fixing or modifying small parts.  No one bans small parts. Don't confuse unavailability with bans.  Some Countries have no market for parts so no one imports them. Or ITAR gets em. Some countries (like ours) has rules that govern barrel length.  But for the most part you can do what you want once you have the thing.  There is no precedent for anyone to ban small parts or repairs.  I freely admit the standing import barrel ban seems like a ban, it's not.

B.  while I realize it could be put in.  There is existing legislation they have tried to pass before.  It's the same recycled legislation over and over.  Simple bans on cosmetic features and magazines over a set size.  The history of what's been pushed shows absolutely no evidence of a small parts/repair ban.

C. The reasons for the ban is so the senators that backed it and  passed it could run around saying "we banned icky black guns and big scary magazines".  To the ani-gun leaning people this sounds great. its exactly what they wanna hear. we all know the AWB was more or less toothless. (I bought 4 ARs during the ban, only one was pre ban).  the ani-gun people dont care, they hear  "we banned icky black guns and big scary magazines" and get all happy.  Legislation that centered on taxing parts or ammo, or legislation that bans repairs or modifications only says "we made it expensive" or "we really inconvenienced guns".  It's not what the anti gun people of the country want to hear.  Comgress critters know that, and that makes it really easy for the NRA and other lobby groups to get squashed.

D.  Congress critters live and die by the vote.  They are only going to pass laws that are popular with the groups that will vote them
In.  Few use their true convictions to write laws.  Passing a law that sounds rock star like "ye haw gun ban" is going to win more votes then "silly annoying ban on small parts"

All this Shit is for the same guys screaming they're gonna ban ammo or tax it a lot.

Dan, take a breath man.  The guy just wanted to know if the buffer is a high wear part.  I'm sure you have extra parts laying around, what's your reason?  SHTF day?  well maybe this is just that.  No reason why people shouldn't be ready.  I went out today and bought a Sig from Wal Mart and another thousand rounds of ammo "just in case".  Guess what, ammo is already going fast.  It doesn't matter what congress does, the threat of what congress minght do is just as bad.  Get off your anti-bad bullshit waggon.
