I have a RRA LE1020 that I had for the last 4 years or so maybe a few thousand rounds thru it.  Anyhow I noticed, suddenly it seemed, that the anodizing finish is wore or maybe even flaking off the lower.  The upper and lower fit is not tight and not any looser than any other AR..  The upper part that "mates" up to the lower area is fine without any finish wear...

I don't think I need worry about it much.  Can't imagine the bare aluminum in that area would wear any...  Just never seen an AR lower with this type of "wear" to it...

Or should this be of concern?

I have seen Teflon coatings come off similar to that.
Anodizing will wear, but I have never seen it flake off.
I have seen some wear in this area on a couple of weapons, but nothing like this.
I would be at least a little PO’d about it.
Depending on what caused it RRA may be willing to do something about it and maybe not.
