I've got an ar that has a little less than 8,000rds thru it. I'm assuming its coming close to replacing the bolt.

Should I replace the entire BCG.. or just the bolt?

FTR, nothing is wrong with the BCG or bolt, just worried about failure down the road.

Buy a spare if you want.  But I wouldn't replace it until there is a problem.  I have spare bolt carrier groups on hand in my gun tool kit when I go to the range.  If something breaks, it's easier to just replace the whole BCG and continue shooting.  Later I can troubleshoot and fix it at home.  Therefore not wasting any valuable range time.

Keep running until the brass starts to get funky.  It is good to have a spare bolt for backup purposes.
