How many people you gonna arm?
If the 2 M4s are reliable, go that way for arming 2 people. But, you can only shoot one at a time. So, one reliable AR is better than 2 questionable ARs any day. If you are going solo, get a really good, reliable, chrome lined, weapon. Put a light, sturdy 1X red dot sight, and lots of ammo. That way when the guys who are in an organized group get you, they will get a good weapon off your body. |

I say build a rifle to your needs and then when money allows begin the second. +1 although most do have gunners mates with spare parts in the navy.. if you can't afford two rifle just buy spare parts and that rifle will last longer than you will
