I am at a crossroad between keeping my daniel defense upper or trading/selling it for a eag upper. The only I think I'll miss is the rail space on my 13.2 larue.  Can you guys give me any good advise?

Just go with whichever one is configured the way you need it. I have all the rail space I need with a 9" railed middy with standard FSB. You may need more or less. As far as brands, both are top of the line.

What brings you to this "crossroad"?

Just save up and buy the EAG.

Why do you want the EAG upper over your DD?

Thats not a loaded question, but the answer would be helpful for those who want to help.

Less rail = less weight. And, no need to have a rail attached front sight. I'm nit concerne
About the name on it as long as it is reliable, it ig gtg. The crossroad is that the eag upper cost $1100 and I paid about $600-700 for my DD that came with a 12" lite rail which I swapped for the larue. If I saved, it would most likely take me a while (year or 2) to buy.

This is my question as well.

You aren't gonna find a more accurate or durable CL barrel than DD, and you also have the extra rail space with your current setup.

I see no reason to save up simply to trade for a non superior barrel, and downgrade your handguard all at the same time.

I'd need more details to see how this would make sense.
