I had a bad experience with a DS that may not have been their fault. Bought a new rifle which had an out of spec and blemished lower which the dealr failed to list as such. It was a long time ago though, late '07.

Doubestar 16" carbine with an H-bar barrel was my first AR (I sill have it). I've been very pleased with it.

Absolutely. Local FFL sells literally thousands of them a year and very very very rarely have any issues. Only thing I can think of in the last year is one that somehow left the factory without the forward assist installed.

VERY good commercial grade rifles, i have used MANY rifle kits from J&T over the years, they have all been reliable.

i would personally consider DS on par with Stag and Rock River= good weapons

I asked the same question on another forum and was told they were garbage. Should have bought the one I was looking at for $649 when I had the chance.

I have had 4 of their lowers, 2 complete uppers they built and a variety of other parts over the years. Not a single issue ever and I would not hesitate to buy from them again. In fact, I wish more dealers around here still carried their lowers.

No probs with mine. It shoots better than me.
Coworkers ribbed me at first, but I can out shoot them with their Colts and Stags.

Indeed. The most adamant person that Doublestar is garbage was/is a mod on that site.
