I've heard people say that light strikes are a possibility. Has anyone here had this problem with the JP spring kit?

Not personally when using American made or foreign commercial ammo. This includes .22, 9mm, 300 BLK, 223, .260 and .308.

Milsurp and some Russian calibers may have reliability issues, but it is dependent on your setup. If you plan to use it for 7.62x39, then even full power springs are going to be difficult to get reliable strikes without a modified pin or bolt setup for a deep strike.

Shit .22 ammo that hasn't been primed properly is the exception, but testing them in other .22's yielded the same result - good strike, no bang.

With PMC after about 2,000 rounds. Now I only use factory springs on trigger installs.

Yes I have had this problem but, only with a bolt that has a spring behind the firing pin. 9mm OLY bolt.

I have a total of 7 JP 3.5 pound spring kits in my rifles. Never had a light strike or failure to fire in 20k+ rounds over the years. Should mention that I do not use commercial ammo or any of the imported shit. All my primers are CCI #400 small rifle standard primers.

I have installed two of the 3.5 lb spring kits. In .223 and .308 ARs. No light hammer strikes with PMC so far.
Good kit for $9. If you do have light hammer strikes with your ammo just put the factory hammer spring back in.

Installed on both LE6920's and HBar with no issues shooting up American Eagle, Federal, Hornady, Lake City, PMC, S&B, Silver Bear, SSA, Tula, Winchester, Wolf.

Worth the 9 bucks and 10 min to install. YMMV

Had one in for a couple thousand rounds, maybe more, LC surplus, Fed, Horn, Rem, factory loads, CCI, Wolf, Win, and Rem primers in handloads, no light strikes.

I had light strikes with Hornady Steel Match using the yellow springs. I solved the problem by cutting the back portion of the hammer off to lighten it up. A couple thousand rds later, and it's still in there. Problem solved.

It seems some do and some don't with the 3 1/2lb yellow hammer spring. Why not go with the JP enhanced reliability spring set? Yellow trigger spring with red hammer spring 4 1/2 to 5 lb pull.. I just installed two sets and they improved my mil spec triggers.

I currently use a yellow trigger/red hammer combo from JP (enhanced reliability kit).

I was skeptical about using these springs on my work rifle, but have shot thousands of rounds on three different AR's with this setup, and have yet to experience a light primer strike. It's worth noting I shoot a lot of Silver Bear, and this has functioned flawlessly as well.

For the price ($10), I can't think of any upgrade even remotely comparable to the improvement you will see using these springs with a basic FCG.
