Alright, to start off I want to build some more AR's to give myself a diverse collection.  Preferably a lighter weight general purpose carbine and also a rig geared more towards precision, RECCE or SPR style.  So here is where I'm at.

Currently my only AR is a SOPMOD Block II Clone.  Minus the BUIS and the Muzzle Device it is spot on.  Only problem I have is the weight.  The gun isn't insanely heavy, however, it is not exactly somethin I'd want to run a carbine class with or run around the woods with.  So I'm at a crossroads.  Do I just keep the Block II as is, which honestly doesn't fit into either style of rifle that I would like, and just build two more?  Or my thought is to swap out the barrel and optic on my Block II for something of the Stainless Variety, 16-18", with a variable optic.  This would put that rifle into the category of precision oriented, leaving me to only build a lighter weight general purpose carbine.

Then comes some other questions I have.  I've been looking at barrels all along the price spectrum and I'm kinda stuck.  I know there was a thread on this before, however, I've pretty much narrowed it down to a Noveske SS Barrel, Rainier Ultramatch, or Rainier Match.  My question is basically, what type of performance differences will I see out of the three.  Would I really notice the nearly double the price difference between the Rainier Match and Noveske?  Should I just split it down the middle, go for the Ultramatch and call it a day?

Also, I have a TA31F sittin around right now.  Should I just throw that on there for the magnified optic or would I be better served by a variable optic with a little more magnification (looking at some 1-6's)?  This is probably more of a question for the optics section, and I think I've got the optic selection figured out, however, I figured I'd see if anybody knew something I didn't in this department.

Any help would be greatly appreciated guys!
