Ok i just put my first lower together. I got 2 buffer tubes in a package deal that had not been machined for stock. I took one into work and milled slot and drilled for a collapsable stock.I am puting a 24 " upper on it . rifle spring and buffer will not work !! I guess it  is a carbine length tube.My question is : can i use a carbine spring and buffer with a rifle length upper and expect it to work reliably ?Thanks for any incite.bubbadad
