| It's the (stupid) industry standard lower than the receiver gas block. You'll need one of the sights that are .27 in taller to make up for it. I hate these things, but there aren't many options for the taller gas blocks. Not at the price point that we, and the website, pay for those. |

Have you guys ever had any problems or complaints with those being aluminum? I tend to believe that the aluminum gas block "problems" are a result of poor installation practices, but I have yet to see with the ones I bought. |

I don't know what happens with the online orders anymore, not since we completely spun off though. I've sold a good amount of them in the store, and have installed aluminum blocks myself without problems. Our brand and others. I suppose that an aluminum one could shift if you were rapid firing a lot of rounds since it expands differently than the steel barrel. Especially if there was a bit of tolerance stacking with the barrel at the smaller end of the spec, and the gas block at the larger. I've not had anyone come back to me with this problem though. |
