| Anyone have any feedback or can link to a thread with some? I haven't seen anything specific to the LBK or anything in the industry thread either. I'm looking at the PSA MOE Lower Build kit and want to know if it's a decent kit. Looks like a good value for the money. How's the trigger? Anything you would do different if you've assembled your lower with one? |
| I used their STR build kit on the one I just finished. I haven't had a chance to shoot it to fully test it, but dr firing it feels pretty decent, for a "stock" trigger. Other than that the quality of the parts is nice. I'd buy one again when I start my next build. |

I've built 6 of them.
I had: Two mag catches that were out of spec (caused mag to drop while firing.. yes it was installed properly). One trigger was about 12lbs and super gritty. One trigger was sloppy and had about a 3lb break. Three super sloppy safeties. One nicer then average trigger (no real grit, and 5.5lb break) Everything else seemed to be comparable to average mil spec LPKs I had used in the past. The first mag catch they replaced for me without problem.. then I couldn't get a hold of them the second time around so I just gave up. |
| I have used many PSA LPKs. They are fine and I can't seem to find a dime's worth of difference between them and others that I have used, except the type of roll pins used, which are similar to a few other LPKs that I have used. I have never used a standard trigger that wasn't rough and gritty, so I always do a trigger job and sometimes use JP springs. Want and excellent trigger? Don't expect one to come in any standard LPK. Buy a Geissele.... |

Thanks all. Order placed. Looking forward to my first build (or assembly, however you want to categorize it). Nice. Which one did you buy? Link? I ask because I've been looking at picking one up as well... MOE Lower Build Kit in Black. With free shipping, it looks like a really good deal for what you get. This build will be a basic range toy so this kit works for me and should compliment my M&P 15OR once I finish this and the upper. PSA LBK |

That's the one I was looking at, but I want it in FDE. I guess I'll have to wait until it's back in stock... |

All 5 of the ones I've used are great. Some mine, some I've helped others build. Actually just got another in the mail yesterday. |

First kit I had from them had the worst (gritty) trigger I've come across on an AR (wasn't heavy, just felt like sandpaper). 10 minutes polishing it, and it's now very good. Since then have bought their kits with the Giessele triggers instead. Some of their roll pins can be very tight in their lowers too. Build enough and you'll hit problems with any manufacturer....

I know it's picky and most likely a non-issue, but it shows varying degrees of QC by the mfr. |
