Hey guys,
Been lurking around for a while and got some great information to help me with my first build. This weapon means a lot to me, as it helped me to stay close to the memory of my brother, Army SGT Sean Martin Collins, who was KIA in Afghanistan (5/29/1985-12/12/2010). I spent a great deal of time on this build and I'm very happy with the result :) http://i902.photobucket.com/albums/ac230/heidiandtravis/DSC03590.jpg Specs are: DD LW 14.5 Mid length CHF CL BBL Battle Comp 1.5 (perm attached by Rainier Arms) DD Omega X 9.0 BCM BCG BCM Gunfighter Charging Handle DD A1.5 Rear sight Aero Precision stripped upper and lower DD LPK Magpul CTR Magpul MOE trigger guard BCM Gunfighter Grip Magpul ASAP Tango Down stubby VFG Here is another pic with its big brother, he's a fattie :) http://i902.photobucket.com/albums/ac230/heidiandtravis/DSC03593.jpg I know I'd like to get an optic, I have an eotech 512 but I don't really like it on this build, thinking aimpoint H1. Anywho, let me know what you think and thanks again for all the great info! |

Your brother, SGT Sean Martin Collins, service and his ultimate sacrafice to defend our great nation, its citizens, their freedoms, and everyones beliefs, will not go unnoticed. I can truley say on behalf of everybody here at AR15.com, we salute his service and honor him and the many others who have also fallen before and after him. May he rest in peace. I am dearly sorry for your loss.
Building the rifle in honor of your brother is definitley a good idea to keep your memory of him with you. This build looks rock solid and it should never fail on you. Keep up the great work and, even though I am new here too, welcome to the Home of the Black Rifle. Stay strong and take care of your weapon, for it will take care of you. Our thoughts and prayers go to you and your family. |
