| I've been thinking of getting an Eotech 512 for a while which i can also use for hunting some hogs but when it comes to 100yds should i get a magnifier or just get a 3x9 or a 10 power scope? What are your thoughts? The 100yds shot would be for deer, perhaps some hogs but mostly deer in South Florida which most of the time is 100 yds tops. |

imo, with a scope, youll be able to put a bullet right where you want it. with an eotech and a magnifier, youll be able to put a bullet in the general area you want it. id go with the scope for this intended purpose.
that said, eotechs are cool and very fun to use, i just think youll want more precision than they provide. |

Personally I would prefer a low power compact scope for what you describe. 1x4, or something close. But a magnifier and Eotech would do the trick too. |
