New owner of a 6720 colt (LT 6720 Talo - pencil barrel] and I love the light weight and hand guard.   While most would agree that an HBAR is more accurate than a lght barrel after X shots  within a short time frame -  what is the POI change relative to a light barrel ?  Most shooters in the high power/M1 league prefer an accurized hbar - what can you expect from a thin light weight barrel in that competition?

no expert here, but I have had 2 LW barrels and they cannot come close to accuracy of my HBARs. Not even close.

What does accuracy mean to you?

For me, accuracy is hitting a man in the head at 100 yards.

All of my ARs can do that, even with a hot barrel. Even my pencil barreled light guns are GTG.

yes you need to define accuracy.

these are 2 of those cheap $115.00 Citadel A1 pencil barrel builds. I  did have to open the gas ports up to run light 30, 40 gr. bullets.

I cut new crowns on both also.

5 shots with 30 gr. Bergers over 4198, Rem. 7 1/2 primers was maybe 1 1/8, 10 shots did'nt go over about 1 1/2" @ 100.

I'm just starting to work with them though. A 52,53, Match bullet may do better, also a 68 Hornady or 69 SMK.

Just gotta find what they like

I gota get a new mouse. double post again?

anyways I have 5 new uppers I'll have to work with shortly.

the 204 Wilson Combat barreled build will see the brunt of load testing though, as it will hit the field 1st with my 22-250 bolt guns.
