I just bought my first AR. I ended up with a CMMG with a 16 bull barrel. I put a Nikon p223 3-9x40 scope on it also. I'm looking for accuracy. Does anyone have any suggestions on ammo? Thanks

Try a variety of Black Hills stuff and see what your rifle likes.

It will depend on what you rifle likes.  My 18 loves Hornady Match but my 20 shoots better with black hills.

Try an assortment.

I really like Hornady tap.

Anything Black Hills, Hornady TAP or Steel Match are top of my list.  I like PPU Match 69gr too.  Some will argue that it is not match quality, but it has always done me right when zeroing my rifle.  I find it very consistent.

I'm not sure which is a better value.  I'd get a few boxes of each and see what works for you and your new rifle.  Shoot straight, be safe and have fun!!

That Nikon looks like a real nice scope, and reasonably priced, too.

Sportsman's guide has the Hornady TAP in 75 grain, should be accurate ammo in 1:7 or 1:9 barrels.

Been looking for the 77 grain Black Hills ammo, none of the retailers I've found online have any.

I bought some of the Hornady just for proofing my uppers, it's too expensive to shoot in any volume (around $1/round).
