I am thinking of assembling a rifle specifically for patrol-rifle-style competition (such as the NPRC).  I am considering a Mega billet lower, as I prefer the flared magwell, and larger, integrated trigger guard.  Also, I have always read good things about them here.  Are there any other lowers I should consider?

The Mega is at the top of the food chain.....
Also I believe Mega will only release billet as a matched upper/lower set, which is the only way I'd but it anyway.

I think Noveske now has a billet set sporting an over-sized mag well opening.

Mega is a very solid pick. I have build 6 AR's using Mega billet lowers and couldn't be happier.

Thanks for the info.  I have looked at Noveske, as well.  I will probably pick one of those up, too.  However, I am going to try to wait for another batch of "chainsaw" lowers.

Spikes's new billet lower is pretty sweet!

I just grabbed a new Noveske Gen2 lower...  Ranier has some chainsaw lowers left...good price.  Might want to grab one quick.
