| Any one heard of New Frontier Armory? I was doing research for a build and came across an ad for a complete lower, but I've never heard about them. Do they make good quality parts? Any help will be appreciated. |

I have one of the LW-15 poly lowers. Had it about a month and zero problems so far. You can substitute a metal LPK if you like, but the stuff that comes on it looks and shoots just fine. The stock is exactly like the one I just paid nearly $100 for.
Now would I smash open doors with it? No. But then I wouldn't do that with any of my 16 aluminum lowers either. Throw it from the door of a hovering helo? Nope..ditto for the aluminum ones. There are some folks who are just dead set against poly lowers. 99% of them don't own one or have even looked at or handled the LW-15. Curiously these same folk seem to like poly lower pistols and swear by them. Maybe they've never seen a slow motion video of how those lowers flex when fired. I don't know why they are so against them - and really, I could care less. IMHO there are way to many people paying way too much money for the "latest and greatest" who will never need anything beyond a basic AR. For $99 for a complete lower, I'll take a chance and find out just how they hold up. If it does, it will be the bargain of the century. If not, well, I'll go back to aluminum. |
