So I have 4 AR's all with different breaks, comps or flash hiders on them. 1 is a BCM SBR, one is a Noveske 14.5 Mid length, one a 16in Noveske Recce type gun and last but not least a KAC SR-25 EMC.
I subscribe to the theory of different rifles for different purposes. the BCM SBR has an AAC break on it that has some serious concussive force and flame The Noveske Middy has a Battle Comp 1.5 The noveske Recce has a KAC Triple Tap and the SR has the factory Flash hider installed. IMO the Battle comp is a great device for the money if you dont plan on ever running suppressed. its short and doesnt add alot of length or weight to a gun. The triple Tap is the Shit but Fuck are they pricey, and I didnt buy mine it was a trade from a cool guy in the industry. the AAC Break is just pure gangster and it scares small children and kittens and liberals, except while suppressed. and the KAC flash hider well its nice but since I run the Gun Suppressed alot it is what it is. Tell me yalls opinions of your devices on your guns. I'm always looking to try out new stuff |

I personally don't feel that the 5.56mm round needs any sort of compensator, but muzzle flash and dust signature are really valid things to watch out for, so I have A2 flash hiders on most of my guns.
I've been told quite convincingly that a KX3 "flaming pig" is excellent on a SBR. I'm considering an 11.5" short upper, and I'll probably go with an A2 to start, but I won't be using it for room clearing drills any time soon, so while I might go with a KX3, I won't necessarily do that right away. |
