Whats up everyone? I'm hoping I put this in the correct section, if not, I apologize. Anyway, I've been lurking around the site for awhile now and decided to join up. Lots of good info around here! I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can before I leave for Army Basic Training at Ft. Benning on March 27th. But without further adieu, here is my rifle. I bought it at a shop in my area that builds AR's. I went in looking for a Stag and got talked into an LMT. It has a 16'' barrel, carbine length gas tube, all mil-spec etc..I put a Midwest Industries BUIS on her and that's all so far..I plan to put a SOPMOD stock on it, cut the front site post and put a DD rifle length rail (haven't decided which one) on. Any questions let me know.

LMTs are regarded as pretty good ARs. You definitely stepped up by buying LMT over Stag. Some may say that Stag ARs are good, but personally, I don't really feel like that's the case. Of course, that opinion is based on an n=1 experience, but none the less, you got yourself a good stick and did well. Your dealer did a good job and maybe he's one of the few that are actually knowledgable. My advice would be to talk to someone that you know that is knowledgable about ARs when you get home from basic and brain dump 90% of the crap that they're going to teach you. Congrats on the new stick, and good luck. I'm on the back-end of a 5 year stretch. |
