I noticed this inside my upper receiver. The outside is fine, the inside has this 'wavy' look to the finish. Is this common, or at least a good enough finish for the inside of my upper? It has the square forge mark, if that means anything.

what is the white speckled substance? did you spray it with brake cleaner?

I third that. Looks like some sort of PTFE dry lube. I bought a bottle of the stuff KG sells and had that shit all in my gun....works, but I hated looking at it.

It's what I had close, and used it to get some CLP off for the picture.

I wondered this too when I saw mine flaking but it's normal will go away after a 1000 rounds or so I've found
