[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Barrel help

I am looking for a 18" or 20" mid weight fluted threaded barrel with a mid length gas system ? I wanted to buy a Sabre defense barrel before the government shut them down so now that's out . I have looked through old post and have had no luck so now I will ask the experts , I need your help . Thanks

I can't help you with your purchase but if you go to the 20" get the rifle length gas system to keep the dwell time proper.

Black Dawn has a carbine length gas system with the flutes and threaded.

18" barrels work fine with rifle-length gas too.

I know you said a 18" but there was a kreiger 17" ion bonded but not fluted in EE not too long ago for a great price. I shoot a kreiger and it is top knotch.

Thanks strat81 I am a big fan of DPMS and had not seen that barrel . It is very close to what I am looking for.
