Hey guys, I am new to the forum and new to the world of AR's. I just bought a new M&P Sport and I love it. All I have is one iPhone pic. I have alot of accessories due in tomorrow and I will get more pics after I get them all installed.

When it's folded it is about as far back as it can go. Any more and it will be in the way of the charging handle. Thanks though  I really didn't like that about the MBUS. To me it's a pretty significant design flaw, and one that should have been caught. |

I joined a few years ago and have lurked ever since. I thought, well, I'll just pick up a Bushmaster 16" carbine. It'll be fine. I'll have my quality AR and that will be that. You see waaaaay back then ('07) Bushmaster was one of the four manufacturers that made "good" AR's. You could pick one, buy it and you’d have your AR. I figured I'd have my “quality” AR and be happy. But I kept reading (that's how they drag you in... you keep reading) and soon was dis-satisfied with my purchase. Oh, sure it was a flat-top (my buddy made the mistake of buying one with a fixed carry handle, a cardinal sin, no way to mount optics, co-locate, etc. He still regrets this). But I soon found things I didn't even know I wanted. The carbine gas system is too violent. Maybe a mid-length would be better? Someday you might have to carry it all day, maybe a lightweight profile barrel wouldn’t be so heavy? Just a plain old collapsible stock? Really? With so many options out there? Don't you want to store batteries there? You’re fore-end doesn’t have a rail system? How can you mount lights, other optics, tripods, magnifiers, etc.? No, no those standard handguards will not do, you need a rails. The more I read, the more I discovered that there were more vendors making even better products... LaRue, Noveske, LMT, DD, BCM, Spikes, Geissele....Lots of quality parts. Then I found the build-it-yourself forum. DON'T EVER READ THIS… EVER. Once you do that, you're done. You HAVE TO BUILD ONE YOURSELF. There is no option. Everyone else has... YOU MUST. So far I have the stock, upper receiver, BCG, and just ordered the BCM barrel tonight. Am trying to get my girlfriend to get me an ACOG optic for Christmas (yes, she is the BEST EVER).
