| Anyone know where i can get a good 14.5 barrel with 1/7 twist for a good price any help would be great Thanks |
| I was looking to spend like 175 for a good barrel. That"s what a local shop said he could get me one, but wouldn't say the brand. I didn't want to buy one then have it turn out to be junk. I looked at a post on hear and sprts guide has one for 100.00 but it 16 . |

If you wanna a 14.5" LW barrel, Bravo Co. has them for $229. I used one on my latest build.

Wild guess though, you're probably going to shoot cheap 55grain aren't you This... Or is that a This??? If cost is that big a deal, you are probably not spending a buck a round on 77gr SMKs. If you are you are not going to get your moneys worth anyway since they are launching from a cheap barrel. If you want cheaper barrels, your money goes farther towards a 1/9, though I don't understand why (more manufacturers I suppose). |

...because 1/9 is best twist for 62 and lower. So the cheap 55gr runs good in a 1/9. If you dont have the funds to pay $250ish for a good 1/7 then you are not going to need it.
I dont understand this ideology of buying the best clone of a highend item. You are only hurting your shooting experience and gimping yourself by buying a cheap 1/7 simply to have a 1/7. When you are not going to use ammo made for a 1/7 nor will you need 1/7 when you do buy ammo. When you do shoot that ammo made for a 1/7, since the barrel is a cheap copy of what a real 1/7 should be, its going to perform poorly and when you use the ammo made for a 1/9, since you opted for the cheap 1/7 it will again perform poorly. How about you buy a good quality 1/9, 4140CM, Chrome lined for $150 from a good quality manufacturer and then you will shoot the cheaper 55gr and 40gr ammo with good consistent performance. Or you can save another $100 and buy a good 1/7. |

If the dude at the gunshop won't tell you what brand of the barrel he is trying to sell you is I would assume it is crap. The barrel and bcg are two parts I would make sure I bought quality. You are talking $54 difference between the $175 for an unknown barrel for your gunshop and a good barrel from a company with a first rate reputation. |
