Has anyone seen this dimple in uppers before? It was a new upper at least it had never been assembled. This is my latest build, is this what is commonly referred to as an M4orgery? Thanks for any info.

That's what I thought but have never ran across one before, I thought they would be hid.

Looks close enough to an M4orgery.You don't have M4 handguards on yours, you have plain carbine, and I think the M4orgery had a detachable carry-handle.

The first M4's from the early '90s used A2 upper receivers.

Which forge mark does it have? Every Oly that I've seen has a dimple on it somewhere & most also don't have a forge mark.  Just curious.

It's a Mueller Brass forging and an LAR lower with a DSA barrel and front sight. I have an Olympic Arms AR15 A2 I bought back in the early 90's that doesn't have the dimples.
