Ok, I have read a bunch of threads on this, and have not really found anything conclusive.  Is the FSB on the 6720 F height but not F marked, is it non F marked but with a taller post?  Those that have shot this rifle, did you have issue sighting in?

Colt marks all of their F height FSBs with the F. The 6720 doesn't have an F height FSB so needless to say it's not marked as such. Whether or not there will bzo issues will depend on the individual user & the rear sight that is used. I've never had an issue sighting in a non-F height FSB with any buis or carry handle that I've owned. That's not the case with everyone, though. Sometimes a taller FSP is needed.

Isn't the 6720 the rifle that Clyde Armory (?) ordered specially from Colt? If so, they just threw a 6520 barrel (non F-marked FSB) on a flat top receiver, which is why the FSB isn't F-marked on that rifle.

Thats the one....But I see conflicting information all over the web about this, post # 8 in this thread is an example:

Ultimately it does not matter, as I may end up putting a tritiated FSP on it, but it would be nice to know exactly what the story is with the FSB.

The story is that the 6720 comes with a standard FSB while other Colt carbines come with F height FSBs

correct......they did not specify to colt that they wanted the F marked FSB  so colt did not send it with one........thats straight from Clydes

Ok thanks.  Mine arrived yesterday.  It is actually a pretty handy rifle, very lightweight, Im actually very surprised at the weight difference (I will also come right out and admit I bought it mainly for the AR15A4 roll mark).  Cant wait to try it out on a carbine course.

Too bad about the oversight on the FSB from clydes, I'll be shooting it this weekend so we'll see how much of an impact that makes for me until I get my tritium front post.

its not a big eal if it bothers you that much just take the one you have off now and put on a F marked FSB  if you dont want to do it send it off to someone like ADCO

Try to zero it first, if it doesn't work, pick up a .04 taller front sight post like all pre-"F" FSB Colts and call it a day.
