They've got these all back in stock and I'm kind of thinking of picking one up. I'm just trying to decide between

14.5" carbine w/ pinned A2X (LW or M4?)

16" LW midlength

I need advice on how to proceed (and probably pictures for reference)

16" BFH middy for me
I've had a few changes since this pic was taken but you get the idea

I think there was a thread about 14.5 vs. 16 with a bunch of pictures a little while back.

If not full auto get the LW and build the whole thing with LW in mind. You will love it.

ETA: Get mid length. Also why not a LW mid in 14.5" with a pinned battle comp?

ETA Part 2: Also the whole argument of going 14.5" and a P/A flash hider wont let you change your F/H, how often does anyone actually change their F/H? By then you will need a new barrel anyway and if for some reason you want it changed a gunsmith ca easily do for cheap.

I have a BCM carbine 14.5 w/ pinned flash hider and love it

At least you narrowed it down to BCM:  you can't go wrong from there.

+1

I'd go with the 16" so you can change things a little easier without having to mess with a pinned FH

This is exactly what I was going to say/recommend.  I have two 14.5" LW mids with the ext A2 hider perm attached and they are outstanding.  I sold my govt profile uppers after my first LW.  They are so much handier and look great.

Yep, I have both.  I'd usually suggest the 16" just because

My only advice is to get the best flash hider you can afford, if it's going to be pinned :O

(Not that there's anything wrong with the a2, i'm not so sure about the extended a2's)

Yep. I've got a 14.5 BFH middy w/perm attached battlecomp. It's my favorite ar, shoots like a dream.

+1 That will be my next upper.  If it's your first one get a 16" and play with FH's/comps until you figure out what you like and then get a 14.5".  That's what I did and found I love the BC.
