I have a Defender 2000 that I have put about 1000-1500 rounds through in the last month at various shooting classes. The last two times I cleaned my gun, I noticed the roll pin that holds the rubber/polymer piece in the buffer is walking out. I knocked it back in after the first time, and the second time it was walking out again.

My AR has run flawlessly. Is this a major problem? What do I do to rectify it?

Get another set of hands to help you. Get 2 tapered punches that are slightly bigger than the roll pin.
Put a punch in each end, put the one end on a solid surface and hit the other punch to flare out the end of the roll pin a little bit. Repeat for the other side.

I will give it a try, thanks.
