I wanted to acknowledge this shouldn't be relevant to anyone's decision to, or not to buy a DD rifle; I'm just curious.
Is it just my eyes getting old or does DD finish their rifles in a darker, more gloss finish than most other producers? Thanks for your indulgence. |
| When I got my first DD upper I thought the same thing. Really though, it was just shipped with some kind of oil (CLP maybe?) coating the rail and the upper. Now it has the same nice muted, non-reflective finish as my Spikes lower. They look really good together and have a tight fit. |
