Can I put a vertical grip on my rifle?

Stock 16" or 18" RRA  M4 flattop upper.

I know I'll need a rail but can I put a forward grip on it or has the BATF screwed this up for me?

As long as you have a buttstock, you're fine for a vertical grip. No vertical grips on pistols.

Cool. Thanks. I know the BATF changed some stuff recently and I don't want to go to jail.
