| I recently put together a new rifle using the following parts: BCM 16" standard upper, DD BCG, Stag lower and LPK, BCM collapsible stock assembly kit with H buffer. From the very first magazine, I have had a problem with the empty case not being ejected. The empty case will be sitting on top of the next round coming out of the magazine, causing a double feed. The problem seems to be getting worse as it is now having this problem several times out of each magazine. These are all brand new parts. I took the DD BCG and put it into a Stag upper I have and had no problems so I don't think it's the extractor or ejector. I put the buffer and spring from my Stag into the new gun and still had problems. I am going to take the Stag BCG and try it in the new gun, but other than that I don't know for sure what else it could be. The only other thought I had was an extremely dirty chamber or maybe an out of spec chamber. I didn't think the chamber would be that dirty brand new though and I'd be amazed if a BCM upper was out of spec. Does anybody have any other suggestions? Any help is greatly appreciated. |

I suggest you post any problems in the Trouble shooting forum, Read this before posting section its very helpful http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_66/240110_READ_THIS_BEFORE_POSTING.html
FtEj FtEj is often a sign of a short stroke; check that the ejector fully telescopes under the bolt face. The ejector spring should be VERY stiff. The ejector spring is, should be, the same spring as the one used under the selector detent, consider it a spare. |
| Sorry, I will try the troubleshooting forum. the ammo was IMI M193, just purchased from Widener's, and Federal XM193. Mags are Pmags and Cproducts, both 30 rounders. I have not tried the Stag BCG in the BCM upper yet, that is my last test, but ran out of time today. As far as I can tell, the ejector spring has the same or more tension than the Stag ejector spring. It seems to be ok. |
