I agree. I read the forum more frequently because I log on to check for deals. Drives me nuts though when knuckle heads can't follow the rules. Must be a nightmare to manage.

I sure hope they open it back up, or start another one. I always checked that thread before making a purchase....it was also responsible for many impulse buys.

People were posting other comments. Also some fo the deals included affiliate codes in the links, posters were profiting off posting links.

I posted about a bare upper sale at Midway and now its gone with a message Did you not read the HUGE print in the OP specifically saying to ONLY post parts deals? WARNING SENT - Z> I though that a bare upper on sale was a part deal

They closed all of the other deals threads too, like the ammo one.

That was one of my favorite parts about arfcom. Better check to see if the Team threads are still open.

eta: Yup, team deals threads are still open. I guess you've gotta pay to save.

i'v saved a lot of money through these threads. it's a shame if they closed them because people cant read/follow rule/instructions.

Why punish the masses for the offenses of the (relative) few? Seems like a short ban for offenders might be more appropriate.

agreed.....the deals thread was one of the main reasons i logged on everyday. I truly dont need any more ARs, but would often find myself doing another build just because I found a good deal in that thread.

We're deciding what to do about the guys putting in links they were trying to profit from. There was a thread about it yesterday that someone removed, but I am not sure who did that or why.
