Hey, guys and gals... Cross-posting this from the general discussion...
I have a LaRue upper and my 231's front Arms-Mount latch is unable to clear the Delta Ring hump (LaRue specific issue I think). Ideally I'd like to keep enough space for an LMT rear sight and give the Eotech just enough elevation to clear the delta ring. Please let me know if there is an Eotech 553/SU-231 riser that could fit the bill. Must be clone-correct. Thank you! |

You should probably call a doctor if it's been more than four hours. Or just glance over a few threads in GD and that usually takes care of it.

What about the tape “tags” on the FSBs on 4 of those uppers? There’s writing on them, but I can’t make out any of it...

Just picked up a Colt Block II fsp URG from Thoroughbred Armament, this'll be my first step into the clone game. I saw that Brownells has the KAC VFG on sale for $16, should I grab that up and use it on the upper or should I get a Tango Down VFG? Spending $16 on the KAC would be nice vs $60 some-odd on the Tango Down. Any thoughts?

KAC on BlkI and TD on BlkII. KAC on MK12s. I prefer KAC of the two, do what you want. KAC panels are superior to TD and DD panels.

I was just listening to the Brownells podcast and they said DD is going to coming out with a SOPMOD complete clone rifle. They mentioned it will NOT have the polymer dust cover, no DD markings on the upper or BCG. It will include B5 furniture. Good on Brownells and DD. Will be interesting to see what price they’re asking for it. I’m guessing they won’t be cheap. Brownells wasn’t sure if it had a 16 in barrel or a p&w 14.5. They need to talk Bill and get a SF4P

Didn't DD mention at SHOT this year (back in Feb) releasing a Block II?

I mean for example you do any armorer work on the 416s? not trying to take it off topic or anything if so, I have a question if you're willing to let me IM you for an a project I'm gathering parts for, and I spent 3 1/2 years contracting in Afghanistan, and spent some considerable time in RC Central and RC East, and possibly we could of crossed paths, but either way love the cool firsthand pictures you provide and I'm always looking forward to you're replies in this thread, the BLOCK III, and MK18 threads! |
