For a while the semi-auto Colts used larger diameter pins for the trigger and hammer, to prevent installation of full auto capable parts.
If you have a Colt with those larger diameter pins and want to replace the hammer, trigger, disconnector etc, you need parts made for the larger diameter pins. Other Colts and all non-Colts use the standard, small diameter pins. |
