| I wanna put a M4 14.5 inch barrel on a A2 upper, sorta KISS like...if I do this, which front sight post will I need, the standard one that's on the M4 or the .040" one from Bushmaster...I was getting confused on which one I needed...thanks guys! |

You are confused.
With a fixed A2 carryhandle upper, you use a standard FSB and standard sight post. With a flattop upper, you need the taller "F" marked FSB, and the standard sight post. If you have a flattop upper, and the standard FSB, then you need the taller front sight post. |

Ok so I need to find someone who has a standard FSB and switch it with the F-Marked FSB I have on the barrel? I'm trying to figure out how to have a A2 upper with a 14.5 carbine barrel and make it work properly. |

If anything the FSP will be high, and you can probably just adjust it down far enough to zero. The worst case (unlikely) would be that you might have to grind a little off the top of the FSP to zero. |

I was thinking that, center the sight, elavation wise, use a small hand file, shoot it, slowly grind it down till I can zero, black krylon it and call it a day. |
