I'm about to swap out an A2 for a BC and was just wondering...is it common practice to use a thread locker like Loctite along with the crush washer? Or should the washer be sufficient? Thanks.

Follow the manufacturer's instructions. I'm not certain about the BC, but most non-supprssor mount muzzle devices that use a crush washer do not require any high temp adhesive.

I just used the crush washer on mine. I used the hold between your knees install method and it worked fine.

same for the troy claymore, tightened with supplied crush washer until it was snug and facing up.
