I'm wanting to buy an A3/A4 type rifle and was just wondering how everyone feels about High Standard rifles?
I havent heard much about them, but from the few things i have i've heard they are excellent rifles. |
| I just bought my first AR15. Its a high standard. The price was right and it just seemed to call out to me. The only down side is I am in CA so its got the stupid bullet button. The gun shoots great. I am sure that in the hands of an expert its probably a tack driver, just not in mine. |

Great manufacturer, shitty marketer. I have one and have been very, very pleased with it.
I think they could make a name for themselves in the AR market if they would get rid of their exclusive distribution deal with Lipsey's and build a more standardized distribution and marketing program. |

Held one at the NRA show, felt nice, good trigger.
Booth guy didn't seem to know enough to answer specific questions but said that they follow the TDP on every single part where applicable. He said that with no uncertainty in his language. Not like Armalite, "yep, same stuff the military uses" Me: you mean it follows the TDP? Armalite: it's an ar15, so yeah. Here, have a flashlight. |

Exactly= They are actually great rifles, fit and finish are on par with high end companies and the prices are fairly low. Their problem is that no one has seen any advertising and they don't make any custom accs. to get attention. If they would have designed the PRS or UBR ''for example'' and put a few adds out they would have made big money. I guess their satisfied making great rifles and stacking them up at their factory. |
| Ive had mine for like a year and a half, and it is rock solid!! Fit and finish is the best you can ask for. This is the first i can remember anybody saying anything about them on here. Its about time though. Theyre putting out way better rifles than a lot are these days. |

They are good to go! I have used a lower from them for abotu a year and a half, great product. They are hard to get ahold of at times but when I did get ahold of them via email and phone they answered all my questions.
I just ordered a A2 20" upper from them, cant wait to get home and put together my rifle. Im making a clone of my issued weapon for practice and to make a test mule to see what works and what does not before I go down range. Barrels are MP not sure of batch or individual, offered in 1/7 and 1/9 depending on the configuration. From there website the A2 16" upper comes with M4 ramps as does the M4 flat top. So if you are into A2's you can get the extra reliability of the extended ramps. Shipping is quick for the most part unlike BM. I give the company a big thumbs up they are good to go! |
